There is no way you can add existing module into any page with DNN 5,6,1.  Just wanted to let you know so you don't get in deep ?%$?% like I am now with this portal.  Because it's kinda very hard to downgrade DNN version :)

Once decided you wanted to add existing module, you choose from wich page but there are no module appearing.  You change your mind and you can't.  One solution I've found...   You change page and make new module, but it's not very cool :(

Well to be clear, this is not a bug that effects all sites. None of my websites which have been upgraded to 5.6.1 have this issue (15+ portals, 10+ installs)

 Antony;
Can you be clearer as to what the behavior is you're seeing?
I tested a very dirty site with many pages and was always able to add a module to an existing page in main, Parent and a child portal

Can you give us more information so we might help you out?

Is this an upgrade or a clean installation?
Have you got localization (languages) enabled?
Are these modules the default modules that come with DotNetNuke out of the box or 3rd party?
Are there any error message in the Event Viewer?

Hi Ken,

It's effectively a brand new 5,6,1 installation from this morning, I've added 3 modules, 1 container and 1 skin on it that are DSL Lozalizator, MLHTML from Appolo and Artisteer menu.  The rest is pure core stuff.  There are three language pack installed, one is new for me, it's a Spanish language pack.  This is the only thing I don't usually use, my only interrogation as stable or not outsider would be this, the rest in common stuff for me.

The portal address is :   http://staging7.bd2web.com  (Still in staging)

I could give you a host account ANYTIME if you want to have a look inside, it would be my pleasure to give any kinf of help to this community,
my email is agilbert@bd2web.com if you need anything else...
Thanks again !

Antony

Antony, DNN 5.6.1 has a number of known issues, but none affecting basic options as you described. There might be issues caused by any of the extensions, you installed: a skin might apply Javascript, interfering with code sent on "apply", or modules, which might interfere with other core functions, I just encountered (and solved) settings issue with a custom module today for a customer. Marc is currently working to fix issues of DSLocalizator, see Localization forum for details. Besides, please check the event log, whether details of the error are logged.
