Looks like a staff member has mentioned on a blog a fix.

I've still noticed that in extensions libary that it still says 6.0 instead of 5.6.3 which have asked scott, the fix though he mentioned has got my site back online though.

Hi Craig

It seems like the fixes mentioned in that blogpost solves the problem. I'm just wondering if DNN would care to update the upgrade zip with the changes rather than have users do special fixes afterwards.

To avoid the problem altogether, you should uninstall Telerik 6 before installing DNN 5.6.3. If you uninstall it WITHOUT "deleting files", it will uninstall and revert you back to telerik 5.6.2 (assuming thats what you had installed before upgrading to Telerik 6). Once you have downgraded to Telerik 5.6.2 the install of DNN 5.6.3 goes smoothly in my experience.

I can confirm that works ok also. I've just tested on a install where i had already applied the recommended fix from the blog post. Which left the version problem still as i tried to do a repair install the module from installl folder but that failed still reconising the 6.0 was installed still via the manefest file from the old version 6. As mention in the last post i then uninstalled the module leaving the tick off for deleting files which worked ok and then reinstaled the Telerik_05.06.03_Install.zip from the upgrade package which installed fine and now when i goto the extensions list i can now see the correct version under Libary.

I'm going to roll back my install to 5.6.2 and see if i can uninstall the module before the upgrade as detailed by the past post then just apply the 5.6.3 upgrade and see if goes through. May help people as easier then editing web.config. This is purely a experiement and i would suggest backing up both db and site files first and maybe await a staff member comments before applying.

Thanks joiseystud for pointing it out :)
