Hi,

I just upgrade one website from 5.6.3 to Dnn6.

I can login as host, but on the toolbar, Admin and Host are not available (nothing is done when clicking on it). I can use the menu Modules, Pages and Tools. And also modify the pages, but I am unable to have the all the admins menu.

Please help!

I can go to mywebsite.com/admin.aspx.

It says that the clic is unavailable and reserved to admins. If I go to the page icon, I see the in the admin page settings that the page is secured and disabled. These two options are grayed out.

The first question to ask I guess - is by chance on your old system did you happen to have renamed the Admin or Host pages - there have been reports of issues from people who may have changed Admin to Admin Settings for example.   During the upgrade the system goes looking explicitly for the tab named Admin and the tab named Host.  If their names have changed there could be upgrade issues.

No. But to be honest, upgrade went fine. This is after. I wanted to have RibbonBar, and when I changed it in Admin, the behavior was not correct.
So I decide to copy connect settings and machinekey to a new fresh web.config. Since that, it doesn't work. I tried to put back the old web.config, but with no result...

Ah ok - u cant fiddle with the web.config like that - the default web.config gets altered by parts of the framework - as different providers are installed - as a result all sorts of weird things may potentially happen if you change web.configs from that point.

Ok so your best bet is to roll back to the old dnn version and upgrade again - but first a question - what VERSION was the old dnn system u upgraded .   If it was NOT 5.6.3 then I would strongly suggest you first upgrade to 5.6.3 and verify that all is working correctly with the native ribbonbar from that version.

Then try the upgrade to 6.0.0 again.
