Hi. My site was using DDR menu prior to the V6 upgrade. The upgrade went without errors, but now the DDR menu is not showing. I had a look around, and understand that DDR menu V2 is now the standard DNN menu. So what do I do with my modified ascx skin file? Originally I had to change ProviderName="DNNMenuNavigationProvider" to ProviderName="DDRMenuNavigationProvider". If I change it back the menu still doesn't appear, but my dRSS Rotator module starts working properly again!

Help?

Thanks, Nick :)

I suggest comparing with DNN Menu and default skin from a fresh new DNN 6 install.

I shouldn't have to do that. All upgrades in V5 have been fine. V6 has made rather a mess of things. The Admin menu went missing under layers too. I've reverted to 5.6.3 and am staying there until V6 is more mature.

Well, I do have to agree with Nick on this one. I upgraded from V5 to V6 in my sandbox. Many things broke;

There were multiple javascript errors, the menus stopped working, and a couple of modules needed upgrading (including the DDR module).

Granted, I am using a homebrew skin, and I don't have a problem with re-skinning things and fixing things that are broken, however the upgrade was anything but smooth.

Fortunately, I upgraded in my "sandbox" instead of my live site.

Now, if there was a way that I could do a "clean install", so I make sure that all my old DLL's are gone, and then MIGRATE the pages from one site to another, *THAT* would be sweet. Then all I would have to do is re-skin and be good. I haven't found an easy way to migrate yet however.

Hi, the missing menu problem can be fixed by installing the latest version of DDRMenu from http://dnnddrmenu.codeplex.com/. The issue with menus disappearing behind content is discussed at http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/F....
