I think I can speak for the entire class when I say kill the freaking pop ups. Put a toggle for us to choose if this happens of not happens. Don't want any freaking pop ups. More grief than it is worth. Thank YOU

Don't like them - then turn them off - that kinda the POINT of the Enable Pop-Ups CheckBox in Admin Settings -> Usability Settings.

And I didn't need to use a single large letter.

But aside from this - most of our clients that have seen and started to use a site running with Pop-Ups like the idea - though I would have to say the way they have been architectured leaves a whole lot to be desired.

The form patterns and pop-ups are of course still new so we'll be refining them and adding to them I'm sure over the next few releases, but one thing to be aware of is that we took into account that not everyone loves popups/lightboxes. You can disable these at the site level by going to admin->site settings, click "advanced settings" tab, expand "usability settings" and uncheck "enable pop-ups"

You can also do this granularly at the ascx level e.g. go to host->extensions, edit a module eg. authentication, go to the module definitions section and click the pencil icon beside the control, you can now uncheck "supports popups" - this is why you see pop-ups for core functionality but not 3rd party modules at the minute. This was a change requested by various module developers during the beta period and I think allows a nice balance i.e. some modules will never inplement them and some will make liberal usage.

I like the popups.  My clients really like the popups.  That's good enough for me.

Overall, I'm very happy with 6 - looking forward to having some issues addressed - but overall I feel this was a very solid x-point-zero release.
