Hi guys,

I recently updated from dnn6.0.2 to 6.1 and got the white/yellow screen indicating an error but didn't show it. I created a ticket with my hosting provider (ix webhosting) and they solved it right away, but they say it was a permissions issue. Supposedly, their server administrator changed permissions on domain.com\App_Data\ and now everything works. The thing is that this can be done only on their end (they say) and I've never had to do anything with file permissions to upgrade/install dnn before. At least not with dnn5+ with them.

Is this something that we will have to face everytime we upgrade/install dnn6.1????

PS: The upgrade process went through smoothly without problems. This only happened after accessing as visitor de 1st time.

AFAIK there are some changes in DNN 6.1 requiring additional access permissions for APP_Data folder.

Cheers from Germany,
