I'd extract latesst Telerik dll from install package. note: you might need to update manually redirect settings in web.config for telerik dll.

There is a somewhat odd combination of events that can lead to the telerik.dll files effectively getting locked on some servers.  When this happens the dnn installer fails to update the files correctly.

In this case the best option is to
- restart your application pool
- manually delete the offending telerik files from your bin folder - using ftp
- manually copy the new versions of the files to your bin folder - using ftp

Then check your web.config to make sure the telerik file version numbers match the version numbers of the files you uploaded

Thanks to both guys for the response. Here is the root of the problem which once i read wes's message I found my dumb mistake. (a) I had 2 copies of my web.config file on my local server (for the different connection strings). (1) 1 for the local server. (2) 1 for the live site.(b) when i updated the local server to version 6.1 the local copy got updated.(c) i renamed my local copy to web_pc.config(d) I renamed my live site copy to web.config (e) I republished my site. (my live site was still version 6.00.02)this is why i was getting the errors.
