I recently upgraded three sites from 4.9.5 to 5.6.5. After the upgrade, everything seemed to work fine with one exception: When the "Register" link is clicked, the sites default to the home page instead of opening the page to create a new user profile.

Help??

Thank you,
Tom

Hi Tom, first thing to check is whether Registration Page under Page Management in Site Settings is set to None Specified. (In DNN 6 this would be Admin > Site Settings > Advanced tab, I can't remember how to get there in DNN 5.)

Just to clarify, the Registration Page setting should be set to None Specified, unless you have created a custom registration page in which case it should be set to that page.

This solved the problem on all sites. They were set to UserProfile, which caused the issue.

Thank you!

Tom

You're welcome. I remember that DNN5 upgrades occasionally changed the settings in that section, haven't had that issue in DNN 6 (yet).
