...in IE7. I know, I know, but the machines aren't going to be upgraded for awhile, so we can't update their browsers (IE7 is the newest version that will install on those machines). However, this problem only started after we upgraded DNN

Upgrade:
from ver 5.6.1
to      ver 5.6.7

Using an OnClientClick event in buttons to show a confirmation alert box, the alert pops up for half a second, then disappears. The users don't have time to click "OK,"

Was there anything new in ver 5.6.7 that would cause this? My only solution is to do some browser detection in the code behind, and disable the confirmation for people using IE7 and IE8 - which I don't want to do.

Any help is appreciated.

the majority of the 5.6.x releases only contain security fixes, but I believe there were a few function changes with 5.6.2 - in this type of case the issue is often a combination of the browser and the skin in use, causing invalid html to be written and javascript to perform incorrectly - please check your javascript console to see if you can identify the issue and post back the problem
