Hello Ash.

The installation is straight. No special options just conncet to database and install.
the installation goes without a hitch. Its after the upgrade from 6.02.01 to 6.02.02 or fresh install 6.02.02 that the error occurs. It has something to do with the popup. (registering doesn't work either.) When you rightclick the button and copy the link to paste the url it works (but without the popup)

There is no ISA involved but there is a firewall (with the two options mentioned in previous posts active) installed. Lowering the security settings would allow the request to pass, but that is clearly not an option.

I have added the logs. I the error about logging in isn't visible. Simply because the login is blocked before there is a request to the asp.net.

the error would be logged on the firewall (as item that has been filtered and didn't pass the is-not-changed-check) and probably in the server eventlog (i think a malformed - due to filtering - request error somewhere in relation to asp.net), but i have no access to those resources.

a link to the logs: http://www.dnntest.nl/portals/0/logs_...
i hope this helps.

can you please check your web.config and ensure that the 2 lines for captcha are in there -the log4net records show a missing captcha request (you can verify this by running a http proxy such as fiddler to watch the requests)

hi Cathal,

the lines about captcha are there

<add name="CaptchaHandler" path="*.captcha.aspx" verb="*" type="DotNetNuke.UI.WebControls.CaptchaHandler, DotNetNuke" preCondition="integratedMode" />

and

<!-- This is for CAPTCHA support -->
      <add verb="*" path="*.captcha.aspx" type="DotNetNuke.UI.WebControls.CaptchaHandler, DotNetNuke" />

a link to the web.config (password and login changed to abc123) here: http://www.dnntest.nl/portals/0/web.c...

kind regards
Paul

Hi Cathal,

just to make sure: in the install paclkage 06.02.01 is no file called "captcha.aspx" and neither is there a "captcha.aspx" in 06.02.02
i searched for captcha and the only file with that name is an image called captcha.jpg

so... the log is right, it doesn't exist.
