I recently established a new DNN site on Arvixe v 6.2.4  (web app Gallery)  granted it needs extensions to be added.

However- old site was FTP backedup by downloading to local machine via FileZilla.   This version is 6.2.5  I have configured the web.config file to the new database.  Question is  Can I  use the upgrade process (app_offline.htm) and run upgrade to install the backed up file from goDaddy into the Arvixe site - what challenges will i face?

Sebastian said to make sure the machine key is the same - how does one make sure of this?

Thanks for the help...please be specific.  I need to move the name servers as well. and I've already moved them back and forth already once.

Then why are they still using the Telerik .NET 3.5 dll's?

No, the upgrade process will not restore the backed-up database from your other host. You'll need arvixe to do the restore. Once complete, change your web.config to point to the new database since the connection string will likely change.
