I experienced the same issues when converting from DNN4 to DNN5.  I was running the Apollo page localization software and it would NOT work after the upgrade to DNN5, I converted to Effority's EALO page localization   It has work great for my sites.

Here's the link - http://ealo.codeplex.com

Hope this helps...

HI Michael,

I know the problem here is that I can't get rid of apollo modules since we have used those modules heavily. Hundreds of pages and lots lots of MLHTML. I am afraid of changing to EALO. Will it take tons of hours to convert? And the Ealo team is still there developing new modules? The alternative approach (http://dnncltools.codeplex.com/) seems still in its beta stage?

I definitely won't like to risk again if I have to do another upgrade from DNN 5 to DNN 6 or further versions.

A couple years ago, I wrote to Erik when DNN 5 and his new modules were just released then.
I thought DNN5 was in it's teething age and I decided to do upgrade later.

However, congrats!! suddenly Erik joined DNN and seemed that all apollo fans were stuck in DNN 4.

Maybe this story happened to many people but it seems that not many ppl were talking about it because I can't find any good option to choose so far.

5 years past, our websites have grown much bigger and seems to be impossible to start over from a new & clean installation.

Especially without support from original author, I feel like an orphan and don't know which way to go.

I am a skilled .net engineer and developed many our own DNN modules but still face such dilemma situation.

If you were me, what option will you take?

Best regards,

Sean Tsang
