Good morning,

today i have upgrate the version of DotNetNuke comunity edition.

From 6.2.5 to 7.

But don't go and generate the error: 500 - Internal server error.

I have replaced the file of the new version in the old version.

 What is the problem? Please

today i have upgrate the version of DotNetNuke comunity edition.

From 6.2.5 to 7.

But don't go and generate the error: 500 - Internal server error

I migrated from IIS 7.5 to 8 (Windows Server 2008 R2 -> Windows Server 2012) and got the same error because of a problem with the web.config file. The 500 exceptions occurred because the skin I was using had a mimeMap entry for *.woff fonts.

  • General DNN web site browsing failed in many ways.
  • IIS logs just identified a 500 code.
  • Web browser developer tools also highlighted HTML 500 status errors.
  • Browsing the DNN web site on the IIS Web server, produced the internal error information I needed. I opened IE 10 and opened the developer features (F12) then NETWORK tab and 'Start Capture' to find a problem component. I then passed that into the browser URL and got the familiar IIS error message page with "Cannot add duplicate collection entry of type 'mimemap' with unique key attribute 'file extension' set to '.woff'.
