Are there and published instructions on how to manually upgrade DNN 7.0.0 to 7.0.2 the proper way? I've worked with a few sites, but all of the upgrades I've done have been with the Godaddy automated update process.
Please post your links or instructions here.

Thanks, Jeff...

Jeff,

just unzip the (unlocked - if necessary) upgrade package over the folder where DNN is installed, and call the website from a browser. Enter a superuser's name and password, and start the upgrade.

I would recommend to back up the DNN folder and the database before doing so (just to have a way back if something goes wrong).

Best wishes
Michael

OK, I did the backup of the files and database, and started to get ready to do the upgrade, and I got curious and checked the Godaddy account again, and to my surprise, they just opened it up for the 7.0.2 version. I went with this process because I have 7 sites that needed to be upgraded from and to 7.0.0-7.0.2.
So far, the only problem that I am having is, on 2 of the sites, the tool bar items; Modules, Pages, Users, Edit Page, and their perspective dropdowns do not work. And the Host and Admin buttons only go to the page, but their dropdowns do not work, and Tools and Help do not at all.
Do you have any idea what I can do to restore them to working order?

Ok, Sorry for not promptly posting what I did to fix this. I went back in and uploaded the old backed up version of the admin/ControlPanel files, and all works well now. I will say that I am not by any means a DNN specialist, but I did this and it restored my tool bar to working condition. I'm not sure if this is the proper way the DNN meant for it to work, but it worked for me.

The advice has been given to me by other highly experienced and well respected DNN Webmasters and know how peeps here, to always back up your files, it took me a bit of time to get the entire FTP folder for the site downloaded and saved, but well worth it!
So that being said, the backup files saved me on this one.

Try that and post your results.

Thanks, Jeff...
