Hi,

 I'm facing almost the same problem after updating from 6.2.7 to 7.3.3

I have a multilingual website, the main language is german and the other one english.

My problem is that I cannot go out of the Edit mode. The website works just fine, until I want to add a module a module in a page.

 If I only go to the edit mode and update the content, I have no problems. If I want to add a module, something triggers the problem. Whenever I try to exit the edit mode, it does this and then the page refreshes and I'm again in the edit mode and also the modules bar is open. Basically, I cannot go out of the edit mode.

 When this problem occurs, I also noticed some other problems when I try to move a module from one panel to another. The module is moved but I can no longer see the content. If I go and edit that module, I see the content into the editor, I save and the content shows up.

Also, when I move a module, another empty module appears. I moved 3 times a module only for testing and I had 3 new empty HTML modules in the page.

Now, a strange thing is that I have these problems only if I'm editing the english pages.

If I switch back to the main language (german) and refresh, I can go out of the edit mode and everything works just fine.

If I go back to english, I face the same problem.

I check the web.config file and this line is as it is supposed to be

<modules runAllManagedModulesForAllRequests="true">

Also, I checked the bin folder and the Newtonsoft.Json.dll is there. I also replaced it with the one from the installation files because I thought it may have been overwritten.

It didn't fix my problems.

I checked the Events Viewer and there are no errors.

The only way I could fix the problem is to switch the Controlbar with the old Ribbonbar.

I like the new Controlbar and I hope there will be a fix for these problems.

What is the point of upgrading if you cannot take full advantage of the new features? :)

Thank you.

Alin
