Hi

My DNN site upgrade from 6.0.0 to 6.2.9, when to edit system static resource

1. Admin > Language Management > Culture
2. Edit System Static Resources
3. Edit values and Save

Got this error:

A File Operation Failed. Please Check Resource File Permissions So Files Can Be Edited.

I check the log file, it is said that 

Access to the path (my site folder)\App_GlobalResources\GlobalResources.resx' is denied

I check the folder and file permmison, NETWORK_SERVICE ( application pool identity) do has read, write and modify rights.

Why the file cannot be accessed? Is any thing missed?

Thanks for you help.

please check, whether the file might be kept by an anti-virus or backup service on the server.

Hi Sebastian,

I can rename the file from Explorer, I think the file is not kept by other application.

in this case, check app pool settings, which windows user is incorporated by ASP.Net - if it says "Application Pool Identity" the windows user is not network service!

Hi ,

It's network service, I have changed it before upgrading. It's only occurred on the server.
