I just upgraded from 6.2 to 7.2.0 and I'm getting a javascript error from the control bar. On any site the home page will load ok, then if I navigate to another page I get the error below. Error doesn't occur if I'm logged in as a user without admin rights, i.e. no control bar. It is happening on simple sites with only a couple of pages. JQuery setting are below.

does your site use the DNNMenuProvider menu provider -theres a known issue with that (that we've fixed in 7.2.1)?

Hi,

I am also experiencing this situation, by using Fiddler I can see that

returns a 404, and that the events to menus etc. is not wired

 

Tried to locate 7.2.1 but all I can download is the 7.2.0 (Not using Community version)

 

Also tried to set the jQueryHosted setting to Y in the database but the files are still being loaded from the local site

If it is fixed in 7.2.1 - any chance to get a link for download :-)

Update

It was UrlScan that denied all access to paths that has dot in the path names (jquery/1.9.1) The problem was solved by configuring IIS UrlScan. This was on a vanilla installation of Windows 2008 R2...

The solution was given by checking the IIS Log files

GET /Rejected-By-UrlScan ~/resources/libraries/jquery/1.9.1/jquery.js?cdv=236

logged it to https://dnntracker.atlassian.net/brow... -it hasn't made the cut for 7.2.1 (that's codefrozen already), but we'll work on it for 7.2.2 - thanks for doing the detective work.
