Hi,

I have a site that I just upgraded from 7.0.1 to 7.1.2 and then immediately to 7.2.0.

I am now unable to edit extensions in Host-Extensions. When I click on the edit pencil icon, I get the following error:
An error has occured. Input string was not in a correct format.

The issue is that the link on those icons have incomplete data. The link looks like this:
dnnModal.show('http://danielvaladas.com/host/extensions/ctl/edit/mid/345/packageid/keyfield/portalid/0?popUp=true',/*showReturn*/false,550,950,true,'')

Notice how the packageid and keyfield data is missing in the url.

I cannot reproduce this issue on a clean 7.2.0 install, and so far have not found other issues with this upgrade. So I just wanted to check with you guys in the forums before opening a support ticket.

If you have any ideas of what may cause that? Thanks in advance!

from time to time we see issues like this which are caused by invalid html (or an additional form tag) on a page - this can cause the layout to change and fields to be missed. I'd suggest testing this by changing to a default skin, and if that works then examining your skin for invalid markup

I totally agree with you, I've had similar issues in the past with skins and language packs. I have tried to change to the default skin and language already and the issue is still present.

I will try to install a clean DNN 6.x and upgrade it the same way to 7.2 to see if I can reproduce the issue on a clean install so I can submit this as a bug report...

As expected, I could not reproduct the issue on a clean install. But after some debugging, I did find the trouble and logged an issue at https://dnntracker.atlassian.net/brow... with a code fix also if anyone needs a quick solution before the next version.

thanks for the update Daniel, I'll see if I can get it included in 7.2.2 (we're still verifying/triaging issues for potential inclusion in that release). By the way, if you have code fixes you can also contribute them as pull requests (these get pulled in regularly) - see https://github.com/dnnsoftware/Dnn.Pl...
