I had a DNN instance that was still running 7.0.5. I decided to upgrade to 7.2.1. Everything went smoothly, there were no errors. However after the upgrade, the "File Manager" Page under the Admin & Host Menus is blank. Now, I realize that at some point in 7.1 they switched things around and it should now be a page called "File Management". This page is not there.

So I reported this thinking it was a bug and they tried to replicate it and could not. So now my question is... how do I fix it?

it is a bug, and we're working on identifying the case and fixing it for 7.2.2 (it only affects a small number of upgrades). As to how to fix it just drop a new digital asset manager module on the page.

it's an upgrade bug, when FileManager was replaced by DAM (Digital Asset Management), but you may add portal assignment to DAM in Host > Extensions and re-add it to Admin > File Management page manually.

Hi Sebastian,

Could you please define step by step, how can do that? In Host - Extensions page, there is list divided by tabs as installed, available, purchased, more. In installed tab list, i see "File Manager 7.1.0 In Use:NO". In edit extension popup window, should i do something?

 Thanks.

In Host > Extensions, check for "Digital Asset Management" module, make sure, all your portals are assigned.
In Admin > Extensions, enter details for "Digital Asset Management" and save settings, to make sure, admins are granted access.
In Admin > File Management, check whether a module is installed (in layout mode), if not, add Digital Asset Management module from the control panel.
In top right corner of the module, execute sync folder and subfolders.

Cheers from Germany,
Sebastian Leupold
