Hi, currently using 070201 and I get this msg at 50% mark when upgrading to 070301:

ERROR occurred - Installing Module - DNNCE_CoreMessaging_07.01.00_Install.zip

Any clues on how to resolve?

Thanks all

Please check if you have a file named DNNCE_CoreMessaging_07.01.00_Install.zip in the folder /Install/Module before you start the upgrade process. Delete this file before upgrading.

There has to be a file named DNNCE_CoreMessaging_07.03.01_Install.zip there, this is the correct version! If there are any other files named DNNCE_CoreMessaging_xx.xx.xx_Install.zip, you might delete them as well.

Best wishes
Michael

typically this happens when the site has invalid windows permissions (e.g. read/write but no modify) - this means when an upgrade happens a package is unzipped and installed successfully but then cannot be deleted. When a later upgrade happens DNN sees both packages and tries to install both which can lead to errors. As Michael says you should delete the "old" file (and any other pre 7.3.1 zip's/.resources), and try again (though you'll have to likely roll back your failed upgrade first)

Thanks for the info & fast response. I will give that a try.

I had this same error and this resolved it for me, there were older versions of the files in the install/Module and install/Provider that were not cleaned up from a previous upgrade.
