I am trying to upgrade my site www.AgingSafely.com from DNN 6.1.5 to DNN 6.2.9 on its way to DNN 7.1.2.
My plan is to stop at DNN 7.3.2.
I have upgraded, or stopped using any old modules.
I have tweaked my skins so that they look ok with DNN 7.
I have disabled iFinity Friendly Url and PageBlaster that I was using, but often get in the way of an upgrade.
The upgrade from 6.1.5 to 6.2.9 went smoothly. I tested my required functionality and all Admin and Host pages. All went well.

After the the upgrade to DNN 7.1.2, Functionally seems to be ok. However I have the following errors:
1.  Admin => Files reports "Internal Server Error" and a General Exception
2.  Admin => Site Settings produces a Yell Screen of Death and a General Exception
3.  Host  => Files also report the same files error as #1

Needless to say I can't use the system this way.  What am I missing?  What is the best way to attack this?

/Dave Snow

2nd error: you still seem to use solpartaction menu in your container, did you update containers as well?
1st error: did you try restarting DNN? Did you make sure, you are on .Net 4?

Cheers from Germany,

I searched the forums for info on updating skins and containers for DNN7 and didn't find any posts. Is there some documentation on the web?

Are the replacements for the  solpartaction buttons available in DNN 6.9.2, so that I can get my skin changes working there?

I also use the "IconBar" for the control panel. Is that going to be an issue?

In my host settings I have skin=Minimal Extropy index and container=Minimal Extropy Title grey.  Which host skin and container should I set in DNN 6.9.2 since I can't change it in DNN7?

I am using .net 4.0

I did not only try restarting DNN, I rebooted the system!  No success on the Files pages
