Hello,

We upgraded our site to DNN Platform 8.0.2 earlier. We were told that 'DNN upgraded to the CKE provider for 8.0' for the HTML module.

So, we went ahead and changed the web.config file from <htmlEditor defaultProvider="DotNetNuke.RadEditorProvider"> to <htmlEditor defaultProvider="DNNConnect.CKE">.   Only after we change this value, we can load and edit content in HTML modules on the site.

Two things:

1) If DNN has upgraded to the CKE Provider with 8.0, this change should have been done as part of the upgrade. Any reason why we should do this manually, for the HTML modules to work? Being a core module of DNN.

2) When we try to load Host -> HTML Editor Manager, we get an exception. Attached below. How to resolve this?

to switch between HTML editors, please use HTL Editor manager in Host menu.
if it doesn't contain CKEditor, the editor provider did not install properly during upgrade, check Host > Extensions menu item, if it is still available for install.

Sebastian,

When I go-to Host->HTML Editor Manager, I see the error. I don't see the page to switch between editors. I had manually changed it in web.config, even then the Host->HTML Editor Manager shows the exception.

We upgraded from DNN Platform 7.1.0 to DNN Platform 8.0.2. As I mentioned, there were no upgrade errors reported. How to fix this? HTML Editor Manager won't show.

Hi Sebastian,

I went to Host -> HTML Editor Manager and added the module 'HTML Editor Management'. And now the HTML Editor Manager shows up. By default, it did not show-up. My issue is solved.
