Hi Sebastian,

Just wanted to double check again something:

After the upgrade to DNN Platform 8.0.2, we went ahead and changed the web.config file from <htmlEditor defaultProvider="DotNetNuke.RadEditorProvider"> to <htmlEditor defaultProvider="DNNConnect.CKE">.   Only after we change this value, we could load and edit content in HTML modules on the site.

If DNN has upgraded to the CKE Provider with 8.0, this change should have been done as part of the upgrade. Any reason why we should do this manually, for the HTML modules to work? Being a core module of DNN. So,  DotNetNuke.RadEditorProvider is no longer the HTML Editor?

Accepted Answer
Radeditor is no longer default editor, DNN 8 ships DNN-Connect CKEditor provider, which is derived from Watchers.net CKEditor provider for DNN.
The upgrade should install the editor and set as default, but it seams, this didn't work in your case. Installing CKEditor and selecting it in Host > HTML Editor management should solve this issue.

Cheers from Germany,
Sebastian Leupold
