Hello,

I recently upgraded from 7.1.2 to 7.4.2 and while I thought everything was working, it appears that a bunch of JS files aren't getting included (ServicesFramework.js, for example) unless the control bar is present. Most of my users don't have access to the control bar, so my modules are breaking as they're expecting $.ServicesFramework to be available.

Is there a setting I can change somewhere so that all the JS files load regardless of if the controlbar is present?

Thanks,
SP

Your modules should include them.

There is a standard framework to make sure that when several components call for the same script it's only included once on the page. That's the right technique.

Thanks. Why does everything load when I'm logged in as host? Is there anyway to get that behavior for non-host users? I have dozens of modules I'd rather not have to update.

I would guess that when you are logged in as host the system displays some control(s)/module(s) that is(are) not available to ordinary mortals. If between them they load the script(s) your code needs, then you get a free ride.

Best wishes,

I wound up updating some modules to test this approach out and it worked, so while I'd like to understand more about the changes that made this necessary, at least I have a fix. Thanks Richard!
