you should upgrade to 8.0.4 first and start with a backup.
Be aware that DNN 9 is not feature complete atm, you might consider waiting before upgrading to DNN 9.1.1 or later.

not feature complete but they released it... jeez... "critical" update no less.

I guess it's fun to make your users unhappy and frustrated. Too bad for me.

Hi again,

What is the best version to upgrade to at this time? I see they have released DNN versions up to 9.1.0 now.

I am running 8.0.4 and ready to begin testing an upgrade to DNN version 9, but want to find out which version is the most stable / best version to upgrade to at this time.

Thanks

Tom

The most stable release of DNN 9 is 9.1.0.

However, I have seen reports here of problems related to upgrades. So, it would be best to test this with a copy of your production site.

Thanks. Yes, I was planning to upgrade 8.0.4 to DNN 9 on a test site first. So I will plan to do a test upgrade to 9.1.0. Thanks for the info. Do you have any info on the problems you mention, before I get started?

Thanks again

Tom
