Hi,

I recently upgraded a site from DNN 6.2 to 9.0. Now, when I try to login the login page doesn't display.
I searched in the log folder and I found the following error:

[ERROR] DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.Exceptions - DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Eroare negestionabila la incarcarea modulului. ---> System.Web.HttpParseException: Could not load type 'DotNetNuke.UI.WebControls.SolPartActions'. ---> System.Web.HttpParseException: Could not load type 'DotNetNuke.UI.WebControls.SolPartActions'. ---> System.Web.HttpException: Could not load type 'DotNetNuke.UI.WebControls.SolPartActions'.

SolPart was removed in DNN8. This is relatively easy to fix, but you'll have to edit the skin and container files that use it.

For skins, replace the SolPart references with DDR. If you look at the wiki, you'll see some examples of the simplest use of DDR. I think that any references to replacing SolPart with DDR are somewhat obsolete, as the SolPart "replacement" with DDR has also been removed.

For containers, I think you just remove anything that refers to SolPart. I recall you also need to remove references to Action Button.

To get going, though, it's probably easier to (at least temporarily) specify Xcillion as the default site template. That should get many pages working as you find all of the containers and skins that need replacing.
