We recently upgraded from DNN 6 to DNN 8 on our production site and noticed the upload functionality on the new ckEditor throws an exception if themed css is used in the web.config. Turning themed css off solves the issue, though this is not an option for obvious reasons.

Previously we were using TelerikEditorProvider which is no longer supported by DNN.

The exception message is "Using themed css files requires a header control on the page. (e.g. <head runat="server" />)."

Upon further inspection it seems the upload request is given an html script tag back from the server which DNN chokes on when themed css is enabled.

What's going on?

I'm not familiar with themed CSS? Is that a custom thing?
