Hi,

We are currently in the process of testing DNN 9 and have come across an issue whereby the superfish menu that we use does not seem to be functioning properly. On some pages the dropdown has to be clicked to open instead of just hovering. Reverting the DNN JQuery version back to 1.9.1 resolves the problem but obviously this is not a viable solution as DNN is now using 3.2.1. We have tried the latest superfish files from their site.

We were getting errors of superfish using outdated JQuery commands (such as %browser) however have now just commented this out to try and get it working. It seems superfish is not suitable for the latest version of JQuery.

Has anyone been able to get this working this DNN9 as I believe there was a time when quite a few people were using it. If not is anyone aware of a way that we can get Superfish to run under the older JQuery version file keeping the site as a whole running at 3.2.1.

Thanks,

Scott

I suggest following this issue to see how that resolves: https://github.com/joeldbirch/superfi...

I've had this issue and fixed it by upgrading the menu to Superfish 1.7.9. You can copy the js files in and keep your CSS as is and it seems to work fine:

Hope that helps.

Replace old superfish.js and supersubs.js in your Superfish/js folder with newer ones (1.7.10) from here:
https://github.com/joeldbirch/superfi...

If you also want the hovereffect in Edit mode after login, you must replace old versions (1.5.1) of "jquery.hoverIntent.min.js" with newer ones (1.9.0):

- \DesktopModules\Admin\Dnn.PersonaBar\scripts\contrib\
- \Resources\Shared\scripts\jquery\

from here:

Please be aware that changing the core files (second half of latest post), those files could be overwritten by a Dnn upgrade. So if those js libraries should be upgraded in the platform, I suggest opening an issue at https://github.com/dnnsoftware/Dnn.Pl... so the platform integrates those too.
