I have  successfully upgraded my website locally and live  from DNN ver 8.0.3 to ver 9.1.1. Attempts to update to 9.2.0 results in a  BC30456 error.

Server Error in '/' Application.
Compilation Error
Description: An erroroccurred during the compilation of a resource required to service this request. Please review the following specific error details and modifyyour source code appropriately.
Compiler Error Message: BC30456: 'GetUserRolesByRoleName'isnot a memberof'DotNetNuke.Security.Roles.RoleController'.

9.2.0 deprecated about 500 API's, with GetUserRolesByRoleName being one of them. You will need to update the code for the effority.UserDirectory module or replace it.

Thank you for the response Justin. A little wiser but not much - can you be more explicit as I dont have a clue how do ether of t hose asks.

Effority UserDirectory module is trying to bypass DNN API and failing due to changes.
Please uninstall and retry upgrade again.
