Hi

Can anyone help?

I am experienced .NET developer but fairly new to DNN.  I am running my DNN 5.01.01 portal in VS2005 (.NET2) on localhost:49766 and everything is great.  However, when pressing F5 to debug, all breakpoints are ignored.  These lines are being executed but the debugger will not start.  I have the the following usual settings:

1) "debug" selected in the build options dropdown on the  toolbar in VS2005,

2) <compilation debug="true" strict="false">  in web.config

3) ASP.NET debugger selected in project property pages, start options.

Regards

What are you trying to debug?  Is it a module, or the core?

Hi Mitch

Was trying to debug my own module.  Also tried default.aspx.vb (core?) as a test but still no joy.  I am able to debug other .NET projects on the same PC including a DNN 4.9.x  project.  I have noticed there are no .PDB files created.

Hi Mitch

I managed to debug by using "Attach Process" although not as convenient as thumping the F5 key.  However, today I pressed F5 key and it worked.  Can't think what I have done recently to make it start working.

PS - I don't seem to get email notifications when my post get a response.  Have checked my junk mail folder.
