Hello,

I have created a module where the view ascx  uses a query string to select what data will be shown in the module.  It has links that refer back to itself with different parameters.  Anyway, this module worked great when I was creating it and logged in as Host.  When i log out and try to use it as a regular user, I see the url is changing and filling in the proper IDs to do the queries on in the querystring, but the data never changes.  Has anybody ever experienced something like this?  If so, how did you fix it?  This is quite puzzling.  The postbacks are occurring fine and the data is in the string, but the table are not re-populated with the new information.

Thanks,

John

Check that you dont have a cache time set.  If cache is set then the module just renders saved HTML and does not execute.  Logged in as Host there is no caching.

Thanks for the reply, Philip.  That definitely appears to be the issue.  Except now I can't change it.  I created this module with the VS template and it automatically added the cachetime of 60.  So, I changed the cachetime to -1 in the module definition in the Host Settings and then tried to change it on the module itself from File to None, but it says inherited next to it and won't change it.  It will change the seconds, but the pull down always stays on "File".  Do you how to change that?

Thanks Again,

John
