how to use <dnn:CustomAttribute Name="IncludeNodes" Value="HOME,CONTACTS,...> dynamically to change the menu?

the undelying menu needs to provide support for the customAttribute (see the wiki http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Wiki/tabid/1409/Page/CustomAttributes/Default.aspx ). I believe the telerik skin object menu supported that, but it's not supported natively in other menus.

Adding the following to your ASCX file should do the trick:

    <script runat="server">
        Protected Sub Page_Load(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Me.Load
            Dim attr As New CustomAttribute 
            attr.Name = "IncludeNodes" 
            attr.Value = "HOME.CONTACTS" 
            dnnNAV.CustomAttributes.Add(attr) 
        End Sub
    </script>
