Good morning all,
I have a question regarding the usage of DNN controls like Label or Login.

I have a module containing UserControl ( it is located in the following subdirectory: DesktopModules/TestModule/UserControls).
In this UserControl I want to use the DNN-Label control (I also tried the Login control).
I referenced it like this:
Register TagPrefix="dnn" TagName="Label" Src="~/controls/labelcontrol.ascx"

and used it like that:
<dnn:label id="lblTemplate" runat="server" controlname="txtTemplate" suffix=":"></dnn:label>
Unfortunately when I load the page I see nothing from the expected label. Same result with the Login control or any other controls.

How can I use DNN controls within my modules UserControl? Is there a way to do so? Or is this a bad approach to the problem?

Any help is kindly appreciated,
best regards
Andy

Have you anything into your lable template?  Otherwise you get a empty lable.  You need to create the LableTemplate in your code behind.

Sorry for now posting with a different account, but my old one suddenly stopped working (request password also failes).

First of all thanks for the help Matthias.
The primary reason for using DNN Label Controls is to make use of the localization that takes place.
I entered the text in the corresponding App_LocalResources/Settings.ascx.res and expected it to show the text as I was used to it before (in Settings.ascx for example).

I tried using the DNN Login Control in the same manner (registered Tag-Prefix etc.) and it also doesn't work.

Any idea?

best regards
Andy
