Hi,
        in our portal we are using the Session variable in custom module . in that module have a the page is condition if session variable is null then show the out put for not login user (which user is not logedin)if session variable have a value then show the out put for login user (which user is logedin) . After some time session is time out for custom made page then show the out put for not logedin user but dotnetnuke portal have not expire the session . (shows the in upper side  name, logout link  )

my question :
is dotnetnuke using the sessin for showing the upperside name or login and logout link. plase help me for that issuse ..
if usugest can inot use tin custom page not use the sesion so which thing is use show the output differnsiate for loginuser or logut user.

dotnetnuke is not using session variables but cookies, because sessions are not supported in web farm scenarios.
