I have a fairly simple module that has virturaly nothing more than a GridView and a DropDownList on it wrapped in an UpdatePanel and ContentTemplate. When the page loads I use Linq to query a database and then Bind the GridView to the result.
The DropDownList has 3 year values hard wired to it so that the user can select 2009, 2010, 2011 and the SelectedIndexChange event trigger it to return the appropriate values for that year.
My problem is that when I select 2011 which has no data yet I get an error "Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection. Parameter name: index" and it doesn't even display any text or the DropDownList.
If I duplicate this with a standard ASP.Net site using the ScriptManager it works just fine displaying "Currently no data available" from the EmptyDataTemplate when 2011 is selected.

Any hints on how to get this working?

Thanks, Marty

Nevermind, I guess I didn't completely duplicate the page and found my problem.
Thanks anyway
