New user so bare with me please. Installed DNN into c:\inetpub\wwwroot\DotNetNuke. Chris' templates installed and copied into the templates folder.

However when I try to create a new project in VS 2010 using New Project then selecting DotNetNuke VB Compiled Module , specifying a name (Eg. Test2) and the location as "C:\inetpub\wwwroot\DotNetNuke\DesktopModules" and click OK I get a message saying:

The Web Applicatino Project Test2 is configured to use IIS. The web server "http://dnndev/DesktopModules/test2" could not be found.

What am I doing wrong?

Any help appreciated..

Thanks

you need to set the start url to the domain of your machine (which I doubt is http://dnndev - unless you have created a host file entry for that domain)
