Thanks Kornelis for the reply,

I did what you suggested and I can load the project on the Visual Studio 2010.

But I tried to change the settings under the web tab, I'm getting the same error again. Please refer to the screenshot below.

It's back to square one again. It's seemed like my local IIS 7.5 doesn't wanna play nice with this project.:(

Are the project's files actually in DesktopModules/DNNExplained, or are they in, for example, DesktopModules/DNNExplained/DNNExplained/?

The path must point to the deepest directory, where the actual project files (thus your ascx-controls, etc) are in.

Roy, shoot me an email

chris.hammond@dnncorp.com

I would like to try to get a deeper look into your environment via a GoToMeeting so that

1) I can fix your problem
2) I can figure out your problem so I know how to tell other people how to fix it ;)

Chris, I hope by point 2 you also mean to tell 'us' (in this topic)? ;-)

Because I'm always curious to know about possible other things, besides the ones I already know about, that might cause Roy's problem.

Of course, I'm an open book! I just can't figure it out via the forum posts, once I figure it out I'll reply with what we had to do to fix it.

My hunch is that we need to tweek one of the IIS installation options within windows.
