Hi folks,

I've downloaded 2 versions of DNN, the install version and the source code package.

I did these two instalations and I've configurated with the same data and I made a change on the module ViewProfile (.cs file)  to access a webservice out of the my company network. I did this same change for the two  instances (install and source code).

The problem is that when I run the install version, the webservice works fine and doesn't work on the source package version. I need to use the source package because I figured out that I need to make a change on UserInfo.cs class.

I checked the local firewall, IIS, port, web.config file and all these options are the same on them and it seems ok.

What can be happening? Why the proxy is blocking only the source code package version?

Thanks,

Jhosef Max.

depending on where you made the change, you may need to rebuild the package i.e. change to release and rebuiild the solution and then deploy the contents of the website folder. As to the issue i recommend using a httpproxy such as fiddler to see if it helps with any http exception -also if they are 2 different websites they may have different IP addresses so that could be the issue
