We have created a couple offline windows applications for our DNN site users to use their applications in a disconnected state.  We are creating a web service to provide some basic authentication and to get custom user data that we have extended.  Our problem is every time we attempt to execute System.Web.Security.Membership.ValidateUser(Username, Password), it returns false, even when the proper credentials are passed.  Does DNN encrypt the username and/or password different than what is required for the function mentioned above?

Thanks,
Scott

Found that I was using the wrong machinekey reference in the web.config file.  Copied the key from our production environment and whoila, everything works as expected.  Hopefully, this will help other developers!
