I thought I had a handle on this feature but in DNN 7 it does not seem to be working.

Using the module creator I created a module extension, added a module control and verified that it works by adding it to a page. Then I created a second module definition in the same extension  then created a module control within that second definition.

So now i have a module extension with two module definitions and for each definition I have a module control defined. With this configuration I expected that when I added my module extension to a page I would see two module instances, one from each definition on that page.

Is this not how this works?

I generated a .dnn manifest and still does not seem to work as expected.

Turns out I was correct in my assumption. When adding a module to a page that has multiple definitions then you should get multiple module instances.

There is a bug in DNN 7 's new control bar, I switched back to the old ribbon bar and it now works as expected.
