Sorry to be a pain guys but I have now built 3 modules using different tutorials.
A Products module , super simple and the last one  was the LinqThings for sale by Michael Washington which went really well, however I need help with getting them to show up in the DNN website.

Although they work well in page edit mode and I can successfully add items etc. but all 3 when the page is back in layout mode only show the module title and the settings icon in the right corner but the space underneath is blank.
My way of thinking how a module would work is:  
1. an administrator would login to DNN then switch the page to edit mode to be able to add new items to his database table using the modules insert formview
2. They  would switch the page back to layout view mode so normal web users (we dont want them to be able to edit)  can see see the new items in the gridview 

This is how I would build my web apps, and is how it works in other CMS I use.. but is obviously not how DNN works??? , I would really appreciate if some kind soul could please detail how to set up a module properly in DNN7 or at least explain how the process works as  obviously my brain has not switched on to DNN methodology .
