Hi,

As I understand, if I decorate a DAL2 class with a scope attribute of PortalID that means that the sql code generation automatically puts a "Where PortalID = ?" clause in.

Is it possible to have more than one scope i.e. I would like to scope by PortalID and Username?

Regards

Based on Charles comment the best way most likely to do this for caching would be to scope it by userid (http://www.charlesnurse.com/Blog/tabid/226/EntryId/56/DAL-2-Caching-Scoping-and-Custom-Mappings.aspx) then if you need to filter a specific portal you can add the where clause.

I quite like the idea of using PortalID as my scope due to the danger of forgetting a where clause and having data bleed through to another portal but I suppose if users are unique across portals when there is more danger of a user seeing another users data.

 I will think about it.

Do you think multiple scopes could be achieved in a DNN update?

I would add it as a feature request in DNN user voice and ask your network to vote for it.
