Hello,

Has anyone used the DNN Image Edit Control within a DNN module?

In my edit.ascx, I have the following line:
<cc1:DnnImageEditControl height="300px" runat="server"></cc1:DnnImageEditControl>

But this displays a control for selecting files rather than a graphics editor.

The documentation refers to a smart tag, but on right clicking the control in design view, the 'smart tag' option is greyed out.
I assume the control is missing a load of markup in the web.config but don't know how to create it.

Can anyone shed some light on this please?

Many thanks,

Steve

that's correct - DnnImageEditControl is just a wrapper that wraps a fileupload controller (and applies additional settings, such as filtering by image type etc.). If you want a graphics editor you'll have to use something else im afraid

Hello Cathal,

Thank you for your reply.

Being new to the Telerik controls, I thought I  missing some vital step to make the control render properly :-)

Is there a DNN equivalent for the Telerik image editor?

If not, is there anything you'd recommend? I'd to be able to select an image, size it, crop it, rotate and then upload it to the server. I want to use JQuery and Ajax to provide in place editing and avoid screen refreshes.

Best Regards,

Steve
