Looking for a little help here - I have a webapi working fine - great.   However it's a pain to debug - I'm currently logging events and looking at them in the portal - how is this done best?     (DNN runs from Web Matrix.   I build my WebAPI in visual studio, it outputs to a /bin directory where everything comes together.)    i.e., I'd like to use the Visual studio debugger if at all possible.

If you have multiple sites running then open IIS, click on the server in the Connections and then click "Worker Processes" in the Features View.  Find the application pool running your local DNN site and note the Process ID, when attaching to IIS in Visual Studio using the method Mike mentioned you will need that Process ID to make sure your connecting to the correct instance.  You will also need to make sure you are running Visual Studio as the administrator.

Or, ignore all of that and install the VSCommands extension for Visual Studio and click the "Attach" button it adds to your toolbars.  You'll be able to find the site instance by name and set the VS to attach to it automatically.
