Can I develop an Evoq Content site with .NET Core? Has anyone done this? Is it supported?

DNN (and Evoq) rely on .Net Framework 4 using WebForms, which is not supported in .Net Core.

Hi Zoe,
It actually depends on how you want to develop your site. We have several customers that use Evoq 9.0 as a headless or decoupled CMS with our Liquid Content capabilities. I've seen customers build pure HTML5 sites using Angular or ReactJS. We have also done our own prototypes with .net core. You can use the REST APIs provided with Liquid Content to build your website however you like. In this model, customers will use Evoq as a backend CMS and then use their own rendering for pulling content in to the display of their choice.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,
Will

I just want to clarify. If I use Evoq Content for my backend content generation (as referenced in Will Morganweck's reponse) and also for my frontend content layout, are you saying that frontend work would necessarily be ASP.NET WebForms and not ASP.NET MVC? I have been assuming that I would do my frontend work in MVC and assuming that would play well with Evoq. Your reference to WebForms in your response has me wondering if I made an incorrect assumption.

DNN frontend is using webforms, but you may use MVC or SPA to create your modules.
