Hello, using DNN 9.2, VS 2017 community. Created a module using the DNN 7/8/9 C# compiled module. Changed only the namespace in the set up wizard to "mytest". During project creation got the message "The Web Application Project is configured to use IIS. The Web server 'http://dnndev.me/desktopmodules/mytest' could not be found" was displayed. I hit OK, and tried to open the project that had been created. Got the same message.

The dnndev.me site is working, I can log in and do stuff. I have looked for similar issues in other posts, but have found none.

Please help? Thanks!

David,

looks like one of the stupid things VS does. Please check in IIS manager whether there are virtual directories and/or applications and delete them.

Happy DNNing!

Yes. Open up IIS (open search window using magnifying glass at bottom left of window taskbar, type in 'iis'). Then go to your website which is listed on the left hand side and open up the folders. Look for any virtual directories listed in folders under your website. Right click and remove 'virtual directory' if found. It will NOT delete any folders! Don't worry about that.

That should fix your problem.
