Hi folks

I am recreating my DNN Development Environment (VS2008 Pro, SQL Dev), moving from Vista to Windows 7.

I am using DNN 5.5.01. All the modules are working... except that the business controller class code that has been working fine no longer sets the IPortable flag, so the Export and Import options no longer appear in the Module menu.

Obviously, I can't set this flag in Host>Module Definitions>Edit Extension.

Any suggestions?

Kind regards

Geoffrey Morton-Haworth

If you simply hit "UPDATE" on those settings does it update the module and show the properly flags.

you may set features from localhost only. you may set it in the database, table DesktopModules, column SupportedFeatures.

Hi Chris/Sabastian

Neither Update Definition nor Update Module helped.

And the Module Definitions table didn't show the module at all! Even though I have it installed on a page and everything is working, except the Import/export options in the Module/Menu. Very strange.

I am using some old (DNN-generated) .dnn code to install the modules individually. Maybe this is the problem.

Any more thoughts?

Geoffrey

you should provide proper value for "supported features" in your .dnn manifest, but in any case, it needs to have a record inside module definitions, there is an FK from every module instance.
