Hello,

I am creating my first custom module and am trying to broach the master/detail hurdle. I have 2 user controls, one a Master which has a gridview control and each row has a hyperlink to postback to the same page and populated a querystring parameter. Then on page load it if this querystring param is not 0, it loads the Detail user control (which uses a DetailsView control to display the detail).

I've got the main flow working up to the point of displaying the detail control. It correctly starts to load as I can walk through the page load event on the details control, but then I get the following error:

Cannot unregister UpdatePanel with ID 'upnlInsertNewItem' since it was not registered with the ScriptManager. This might occur if the UpdatePanel was removed from the control tree and later added again, which is not supported.
Parameter name: updatePanel

I know this error has something to do with the fact I am dynamically loading controls....how do you overcome this? I assume that the overall method I am using is the correct method (as opposed to having each user control on its own panel and hiding one vs the other...though I'd suspect using that method wouldn't cause this error).

Any help is much appreciated!

Thanks,
Chad
