Hi,

It feels like I have been looking everywhere for some kind of reference doc for the extension installer manifest v 5.0, but can't find any.

Could someone please point me to where I can find it. Or, in worst case, tell me that there is no such document...

I don't know of a freely available reference document.  There's Charles' blog series on the installer, but it isn't exactly a complete reference.  The closest I've seen to a complete reference is from the two DNN 5 programming books from Wrox (Professional DotNetNuke Module Programming and Professional DotNetNuke 5: Open Source Web Application Framework for ASP.NET), though both of those were released before the final 5.0 release, so they have a couple of small errors.
