Hi,

I've created a module in C# and I want to assign it edit permissions for a particular user. I have to do this programmatically rather than using the user interface because I'm bulk creating a large number of pages and each page can be modified by just one user.

Assuming my users are already created, I'd like to assign each of them edit rights to all the modules on their corresponding web page.

Any suggestions?

Thanks :)

Once you have everything created you can assign the user permissions to their page by the tabpermission table.  You can find out what modules are on the page by looking in the tabmodules table.  There is an option to have each module on the page inherit permissions from the page.  If you go this route you dont have to worry about setting the individual module permissions.

Thanks for your reply! The problem is that I only want them to have permissions to edit one of modules on their page. I'm giving each user a single HTML module to edit themselves - the rest of the modules on the page will be controlled by the administrator so unfortunately, I'll need to add a permission for a given role to a specific module. I can get the role I want to assign to my module using the RoleController but I can't find anything on how to then map that role to the module, giving it edit permission.

For that case you will need to take a look at permissions and module permissions.  I suggest reading: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/B... .  The article itself is about creating custom permissions, which you dont need here, but it shows how to interact with Permissions.
